By using this website or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Who runs the website

The website is run by Ni Luh Srinasih, a private individual (not a company) living in Selat, Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali, Indonesia ("we", "us").

2. What My Best Bali is

My Best Bali is a directory of places in Bali, selected by hand: stays, attractions, tours, diving, spas and beaches. We also publish a journal and a trip planner that suggests an itinerary from a short quiz.

We are a directory and a communication channel. We are not a travel agent, a hotel, a tour operator or a booking platform.

3. Using the website

You may use the website for lawful, personal purposes. You agree not to:

  • copy or harvest our content in bulk, or use automated tools to do so, without our written permission;
  • send false, abusive or misleading requests;
  • try to break into the website or disturb its operation;
  • submit content that belongs to someone else without permission, or that is unlawful.

We may block access if you break these terms.

4. Accounts

Owners of businesses can create an account to claim and manage a listing.

  • You must give a real email address and keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 and be authorised to act for the business.
  • We may suspend or close an account that gives false information, breaks these terms or harms the website.
  • You can ask us to close your account at any time.

5. Listings and claiming a listing

We create and update listings from public sources and from information provided by owners. We try to keep listings accurate, but opening hours, prices, availability and contact details can change. Always check with the business before you travel or book.

Claiming. A business can claim its listing. We check that the claimant controls the business, either with a verification link sent to the official email address, or with a manual review of proof. We may refuse or reverse a claim.

Edits by owners. Changes made by an owner are reviewed by us before they appear. We can refuse or remove content that is wrong, misleading, unlawful or off-topic.

Your content. By sending text or photos, you confirm you have the right to use them and you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to display, translate and adapt them on the website and in related promotion of the listing, for as long as the listing exists. You stay the owner of your content.

6. Featured placement, partner programme and paid plans

We want to be clear about how money relates to the website.

  • Free listing. Claiming and managing a listing is free.
  • Pro plan (paid). Pro is an optional paid plan. It is activated manually after you ask for it, and we invoice you directly. The prices are IDR 349,000 per month or IDR 3,490,000 per year. Pro gives priority ("Featured") placement, a link to your website that search engines may follow, a ranking advantage in category pages, a larger photo gallery, priority in the trip planner, a monthly performance report, and, on the yearly plan, one dedicated article per year. Payment, renewal and cancellation terms are set out in the offer we send you before activation.
  • Partner Programme. A business that displays our "Recommended by MyBestBali" badge on its own website can receive a "Verified Partner" badge, a followed link, a small ranking advantage and a one-time 30-day Featured period. These advantages last only while the badge stays on the business's website.
  • Featured listings. A listing marked "Featured" may be featured because of a paid plan, the partner programme, a temporary free period, or our own editorial choice.

Paid placement and the partner programme do not change the facts we display, and we do not accept payment to hide negative facts. They do influence the order in which some listings appear.

7. Affiliate links

Some links on the website are affiliate links (for example to Stay22, Booking.com, Agoda, Klook or Travelpayouts). If you book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The partner, not us, handles your booking, your payment and your data.

8. Requests sent to properties

When you send a request from a listing page, we pass your name, email address, message, date and number of guests to the property so that it can reply to you directly.

  • We are not a party to any agreement you make with a property or another provider (stay, tour, activity, diving, spa). The property decides whether to accept, at what price and on which terms.
  • We do not guarantee that a property will reply or that your request will be accepted.
  • Prices and availability shown on the website are indicative.
  • Any complaint about a stay or service must be addressed to the provider.

9. Trip planner

The planner builds a suggestion from your answers. It is a starting point, not professional travel advice. We do not guarantee that places are open, available or suitable for you.

10. Intellectual property

The website, its design, texts, selection and compilation of listings are protected. Photos and texts of listings belong to their authors or owners and are used with permission or under the sources' conditions. You may not reuse our content commercially without written permission. The names and logos of businesses and partners belong to them. If you think content infringes your rights, write to us and we will review it promptly.

11. Third-party websites and content

The website links to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices. Google reviews shown on the website are written by third parties, not by us.

12. Disclaimer and limits of responsibility

The website and its content are provided "as is". We do our best to keep them correct and available, but we cannot guarantee that they are always accurate, complete or free of interruption.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for:

  • any loss caused by relying on the content of the website;
  • the acts, prices, quality or safety of any property, tour operator or other provider;
  • a booking made with a third party;
  • temporary unavailability of the website or loss of data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

13. Personal data

How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Languages

These terms exist in English, French, German and Indonesian. If the versions differ, the Indonesian version prevails (Indonesian Law No. 24 of 2009).

15. Changes

We may change the website or these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the website after a change, you accept the new terms. For important changes, we will give notice on the website or by email.

16. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes will be brought before the Pengadilan Negeri Singaraja (District Court of Singaraja, Kabupaten Buleleng). If you are a consumer living in the European Union or Switzerland, this does not remove the mandatory consumer protection rights of your country of residence.
